House rules

In the waiting room

  • Upon entering, please sign in at the counter.
  • Please keep your dog on a short lead.
  • Cats should be in a proper transport basket.
  • Some dogs and/or cats are frightened. Please bear this in mind and do not let animals near each other.
  • Accidents (urinating and/or defecating) may happen in the waiting room. Please report this to the reception desk.
  • Dogs known to react aggressively should wear a muzzle or wait outside until called by the vet.

Manners

  • We treat each other with respect.
  • You are not a nuisance to other clients or visitors.
  • We do not accept swearing, spitting, discriminatory language, yelling, threats or physical violence.
  • If the above manners are not observed, we will discontinue treatment and ask you to find another veterinarian.

Appointments

  • To visit the vet, you should always make an appointment in advance.
  • Are you unable to come to the appointment? Then you should cancel at least 24 hours beforehand.
  • Are you unable to come to an operation? Then you should cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Are you unable to come to a dental treatment? Then you should cancel at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Do you fail to cancel on time? Or do you forget to cancel your appointment and do not turn up? Then we may still charge you for the consultation.
  • Do you have a lot of questions? Then we ask you to request a telephone consultation. We cannot guarantee your privacy at the counter.

Liability

  • Entering and staying at our premises is at your and your pet's own risk.

Payments

  • After a consultation, you must pay in cash or by pin.
  • We charge extra for payments by credit card.
  • For proper treatment, it is sometimes necessary for your pet to come for check-ups more than once. These repeat consultations take time and therefore we cannot make them free of charge.

Return of goods

  • Sold medicines are only taken back for destruction (legal requirement). You will not receive any money back.
  • You can return food within 14 days, but only unopened and with a still valid expiry date.

​Provision of medicines

  • Prescription drugs should only be dispensed during and after a consultation or after consulting the vet.
  • Some drugs, such as vaccinations, may only be administered by a veterinarian.
